Announcing the School of Rehabilitation Sciences Graduate Award
Fundraising has started in support of graduate students belonging to equity-deserving groups.
The McMaster School of Rehabilitation Science (SRS) recognizes that students belonging to equity-deserving groups contribute to our programs in valuable ways which may not always be validated. To amplify these contributions, the SRS is creating awards to recognize the many ways equity-deserving students add value to patient care and rehabilitation.
Today we are announcing the launch our family and friend fundraising campaign for the ‘School of Rehabilitation Science Graduate Award’.
The School of Rehabilitation Science community is fundraising to establish and grow these awards. Our hope is to reward students for their contributions and reduce financial burdens and barriers so that students can achieve their fullest potential at McMaster.
The initial fundraising goal of the campaign is $25,000 – donations can be made through the iFundMac platform here. Donors will receive a tax receipt after successful donation.
For every dollar donated, SRS has committed to providing matching funds up to $25,000. To kickstart the campaign, every member of the SRS leadership committee has contributed. To date we have raised almost $5,000, not accounting for matching funds.
